All intercom systems share the common logic of two-way communication. How these systems achieve this process can be tailored exactly to your requirements. An audio intercom system (intercom phone) delivers two-way audio communication between an operator and a visitor, who must press a call button installed near a door to initiate the entry request. The intercom is typically connected to the business’s own IP network, so the call can be answered from a desk phone, computer, or headset.


A video door entry system (or video door phone) works in the same way as an audio entry system, but also features a video feed, adding the benefit of being able to visually verify who’s there. Video footage can be viewed before access is granted or denied using an entry monitor, handset, or computer. As well as being an additional layer of security, the use of an intercom phone system or video door intercom system provides added convenience for your staff and helps leave a professional impression on your visitors themselves.
Most door entry systems and intercoms can be integrated with access control technologies, which can be used to grant entry to staff and other authorised personnel but require external visitors to request access via a door intercom. This combination of staff and visitor management means everyone with authority to access the building can be accounted for.


Various technologies have various on-site requirements, should your project be situated in an area where an internet supply is un-achievable, we can also provide a range of products that utilise Mobile GSM technology. This meaning that the systems operate on a digital mobile network just like a mobile phone. As with most of our door entry and intercom systems, these can be programmed to operate other electronic systems such as door locks, automated gate systems and various IOT devices.
